Datacom International, Inc. (Datacom), headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, develops, markets and supports web based enterprise software solutions for the small to mid-sized manufacturer. Established in 1998, we have a proven track record of success in offering specialized solutions to vertical segments of the manufacturing industry. As one of the leaders in the emerging SaaS technology, we sell, implement and support our software solutions over the Internet. We have recently introduced dataFAB, our software suite of applications for the Metal Fabrication industry.  We are looking for individuals that can help Datacom develop and grow its dataFAB business as a part of our newly formed dataFAB Division in Fosston, MN.

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will be under the general direction of the Division Sales Manager and responsible for lead generation, prospect qualification, web-based product presentations of the dataFAB solution. Some travel to trade shows is possible, and periodic travel to a sister Division in Grand Forks or to Datacom Headquarters in Minneapolis will be required.

GUIDELINES AND CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES FOR THIS POSITION
This position is open to a highly motivated sales professional with a proven background in solution sales and telesales of business software applications. The candidate will be responsible for lead generation, prospect qualification, web based product presentations and closing the sales. He or she will develop and implement sales strategies for each phase of the sales cycle for each prospect using internal resources. Datacom has a partnering philosophy and builds long term relationships with its client base. The telesales candidate must have a proven record of developing relationships at all organizational levels, and professionally communicating the commitment and capabilities of the company. The territory will be a geographic region in the U.S. and Canada. This position is based at the dataFAB Division headquarters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of sales/telesales experience, including cold calling and closing.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of time constraints and adaptable when priorities change.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills, including ability to communicate with both prospective customers and team members.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE MIGHT ALSO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing/business or equivalent.
  • Software sales or manufacturing sales experience.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP software.
